Future Fit Masculinities

About the Program

Federal Funding

The federal government is putting $3.5 million into three forward-thinking projects in 2025 and 2026 to help promote healthy perceptions of masculinity for school-aged boys.

Our team—made up of the Foundation for Positive Masculinity (+M Foundation), Tomorrow Man, Tomorrow Woman, and SNA Toolbox—has come together to form the Common Ground project. We’re all about bringing the whole community on board, working alongside parents, guardians, students of all genders, and educators.

Our Plan

Over the next two years, we’ll be working with students in years 7 to 11 across four nationally representative schools around the country. Together, we’ll create evidence-based programs and activities that encourage healthy expressions of being a man today, while challenging the social attitudes and behaviours that can lead to violence against women and children.

Tomorrow Man

Founded in 2017, Tomorrow Man is reinventing masculinity by delivering workshops around Australia to boys and men of all ages, with a mission to disrupt outdated traditional gender stereotypes and cultural norms, helping participants define and own their unique narratives and strengthen their emotional muscle. Since inception, the enterprise has impacted over 160,000 men via more than 5,100 workshops across Australia.

Tomorrow Man creates non-judgemental, authentic environments to practise the conversations that “we need to have but often avoid”. These conversations pave the way for better relationships and the capability to get help and help others through life’s challenges. Learning these skills empowers participants to forge healthier, fuller lives for themselves and positively impact the communities they live, work and play in.

Tomorrow Woman

Founded in 2018, Tomorrow Woman is enabling women to unapologetically raise their voice beyond the limiting expectations placed on them, giving them the tools they need to break away from what they’re “supposed to be” and author their tomorrow. Since inception, the enterprise has impacted over 78,000 women via more than 2,650 workshops across Australia.

Tomorrow Woman’s high-participatory workshops weave depth, humour, and vulnerability, to empower each person to share and learn through each other’s personal stories. Every workshop is different because it’s the participants who guide the conversations, with the organisation’s master facilitators reframing and enriching what’s happening on the spot.
